What you can count on
Small cohorts — always
We cap cohort sizes across all three programmes. This is a structural choice, not a marketing claim. It means tutors have capacity to read your work and respond to it thoughtfully.
Written feedback, not a score
Every written submission receives a tutor commentary. You will know what was clear, where the reasoning could be developed, and what questions remain open.
Part-time across all programmes
All three programmes are designed for people who are employed. The workload is meaningful but fits within a working week without requiring you to take leave or work evenings every day.
Honest about what AI cannot do
We teach current limitations alongside current capabilities. The course content does not overstate what AI systems are able to do reliably, and it treats human judgment as a genuine and continuing requirement.
Applied projects from real contexts
The applied work in each programme draws from realistic professional scenarios. Where possible, we encourage participants to bring material from their own working context into the project.
Tutors who participate, not just mark
Our tutors write into the weekly discussion threads as participants, not only as assessors. Their contributions are meant to develop the conversation, not to close it.

Instructors with working backgrounds in the field
Our teaching team includes people who have worked in applied machine learning, in public policy around automated systems, and in academic ethics. The curriculum is written by people who have encountered these questions in practice, not assembled from general reading.

What this means for you

Online delivery that does not assume a fixed schedule
Sessions are recorded and released at the start of each week. You watch them when you are ready — during a commute, on a quiet evening, or over the weekend. The structure is weekly, not daily, so there is room for your schedule to shift without falling behind.

What this means for you
You are not required to be available at a specific time on a specific day. The rhythm is weekly, which is sustainable alongside a job. You will find yourself able to think between sessions rather than rushing to keep up.
Responsive support throughout the programme
We aim to reply to all enquiries within two working days. During a programme, participants can write directly to their tutor with questions about the content or their written work. We do not funnel support queries through automated systems.

What this means for you
If you have a question about the material, you ask your tutor. If you have an administrative concern, you reach a person. The support structure is simple because the school is small enough to keep it that way.

The published fee covers access to all materials, the discussion platform, tutor feedback, and — in the Governance Programme — one-to-one meetings. There are no additional costs for recordings, supplementary resources, or feedback on written work.

What makes this school different
We teach the whole picture — including the parts that are inconvenient
The limitations of AI systems, the ways bias enters model outputs, the contexts in which automated decision-making is not appropriate — these are not footnotes in our curriculum. They are core content.
The Governance Programme includes one-to-one meetings as standard
Regular individual meetings with a tutor are built into the five-month Governance Programme — not offered as an upgrade. The pace of the programme is partly shaped by those conversations.
Writing is the method, not just the assessment
Short weekly reflections are the primary learning activity in each programme. We chose this format because writing out what you understand — and where you are not yet certain — produces durable clarity.
